Happy Birthday Uncle Mark
I was going to smile for this one. Then I heard how old you are so I got a fright. Wow. 28 is old.
If you were here I'd let you read my book to me. Mammy says you're going on the radio instead. I knw it won't be as much fun as reading my book but enjoy...

ill tell him to look at your blog ella. he's all over the US and can't always use the internet or even his phone.
auntie Jill.
(is there not a better word than auntie? it sounds so stuffy)
Hey ella! Thanks for the birthday wishes. Yes, I am very old. I heard about a great book for little folk today. it's called 'Everybody Poops', and I will find it for you.
I reckon "Jill" is better than "Auntie Jill" then you won't feel like her old Auntie, but her cool young auntie.
I'm a fan of the use of auntie & uncle. So Ella is burdened with an old fashioned mammy who insists on calling Ross "Uncle Ross" despite his objections / attempts to be cool.
Remember you told me, Jill, that you'd be too old to be a young, trendy aunt unless I had Ella 10 yrs ago? Well hence the stuffiness!
okay well i will continue to use the auntie prefix when writing cards/comments etc, but in person its jill. better than catherine being auntie caca to her niece. wheh heh heh
