Christening Season, Part I
Our cousin, Baby Clare, got christened on Sunday. So we all went to her church in Ballinteer and were very good and quiet while the Christening was on. It's ok because there's lots to see at a Christening. Clare was very good. One of the other babies didn't like the water so much and got a bit sick but Clare was happy because there was lots going on and she had plenty to look at. Our cousin is very nosey - she watches everything. Jill and Mark are her godparents. That means they are going to look after her specially well.
Clare had been on hunger strike all morning but she made up for it after the Christening. We all went dfor yummy food in a place called Avoca. Riodhna had a nap for the first bit of the meal. And we shared a big bowl of pasta and a big plate of cold meat and I think she ate some of Mammy's fish pie too. Because we were good, we got ice cream afterwards. And then in Clare's house we ate some of her Christening cake. We can be a bit fussy about cake but this one had loads of white chocolate around it and it had yummy pink icing so we are loads.
Mammo stayed in Clare's house that night but then we got collected early from creche by her yesterday and we walked all the way home. I was pretty tired and fell asleep on the couch so she decided to bring us to creche late this morning so we could have a little lie-in - of course we were both wide awake well before 7 so we didn't even use our lie in but we played a few games anyway and didn't get to creche till after the montessoris had started their work in the montessori room. I showed her how to get to creche on the bus. I don't think she knew where to put the buggy or where to sit down when we were on the eleventy-leven bus. And I told her where to ring the bell and where to get off too. They don't have so many buses in Wexford so I bet she was glad I was there to tell her what to do.
