Christening Season, Part II
So then you wait for ages for a bus (like the eleventy-leven that we get home from creche with Daddy) and two come along at once. Because this weekend we went to Phoebe's christening. Thankfully we knew exactly what little girls are meant to do at Christenings. You get dressed up. You go to the church. You talk to adults. You listen to the priest. You watch the baby getting some water poured over her head. Everyone takes a lot of photos. And that's it.
Then we got to go to a restuarant that we haven't been to before. We went upstairs to a room for just Phoebe's family and friends. She has a cousin called Rebekah who is 4 too. She has a big boy cousin too. And Grace and Alex were there too. Phoebe had lovely white balloons and she gave us one each. They kept floating up to the ceiling so we had to tie them down. Luckily there was a spare because Ella's burst off a light and she needed another one.
I think normally you bring a present to a Christening but Phoebe gave all the children a book to look at while we were waiting for food. Ella got a Charlie & Lola one with crayons too because it was a make & do book. I got a lovely one about a shop which had a pop up shop in it.
We had yummy food. Pasta with cheesy sauce. And Ice cream for dessert. All our favourites. I wonder whose christening is next?
