Ella & Ríodhna's World

My name is Ella. This used to be my blog. Then when I was 2 years, 5 months and 1 week old, I got a little sister called Ríodhna. I love my sister so now we're sharing our blog. Welcome to our world...

Growing up fast

I'm learnt a lot of new things this week.
Plenty to share

Our brain is our engine. If a car has no engine, it can't go anywhere. We use our brains to walk and to talk and to sit and to look.

I like to listen to music to go asleep. I decided this because we were pretending to go asleep in creche and then we drew pictures of our dreams. I dreamt about fairies. But for some reason Mammy and Daddy didn't think I needed to listen to music to go asleep tonight.

We did acting to elves and the shoemaker in speech and drama. Ciara told the stories and then when we did the acting she was the shoemaker and all the little children were the elves.

There are three lovely dress shops on our way to creche. Every day we look out the car windows on the way to creche and on the way home again to see if the clothes in the shop have changed. And when they have we get very excited and pick out the nicest ones. It's easier if we're stuck in traffic and going very slowly. The shop with the ballet dresses doesn't change very often but the other two are pretty good.

Apparently I "understood the concept" of addition and of subtraction this week! I get a little card like this every week to tell Mammy what I've learnt.

But mostly I play - that's the proper work for children. Last weekend, we wnt to the park with Susan and Peter and their Mammy on Saturday morning. Riodhna had her trike, I had my scooter, Susan had her bike and Peter had his buggy because it's a long way from the car park to the playground in Marlay Park. We played for ages - I learnt how to slide down the pole properly and Riodhna went up to the top of the big slide loads of times. We got to have a snack before we came home too. We spotted Emma and Jamie and Clare out for a walk on our way home. They're back from Australia. Then we saw them again in Jill and Mark's house in the afternoon. We had to go to see the cats again. It was still a lovely sunny day so we went out to the garden but the cats aren't allowed out yet. Riodhna shared her rainmaker toy with Clare. It didn't make rain that day but there was plenty of rain today (which is good for our flowers but not for us). Also we got flip flops from Australia. Mammy thought I wouldn't be able to wear them with my socks but I can. Still she made me keep them for my holidays.

Which is in 5 weeks time. Yaay.

I played in Ruthies house on Sunday. Joanna and Estella were there too. I cycled there on my bicycle and I cycled home again. And then we got in the car and we drove up to Emma and Jamie's house to have a yummy dinner.
