Coats by Jill
It's Sunday and it was fine today so we went for a walk with the dogs before watching some rugby match or other on tv. For once they took me out of the pram and I loved having a look around. Apparently we'll be back in the same place again next weekend after my Christening but I don't know how many volunteers we'll have to walk down the pier. Daddy has something called a hangover today. I don't know what that is but I feel great because I had a long uninterrupted sleep last night.
My Daddy went to IKEA & look what I got
Like my new chair? They must think I'm getting too big for my other chair. It's harder to match my clothes to this one. I'm busy eating these days - I've been getting all sorts of yummy things but I'm not sure why Mammy won't share her food with me. I went to my friend Sean's house yesterday and had a good nose at all his toys. Tonight my mammy and Daddy are going out again and Mammo is minding me.
A lamb in sheep's clothing
Like the new look? My Mammy does. My Daddy's not sure. it was certainly very warm which was good because we went for a walk on the beach from Ballinesker to Curracloe and back again with the dogs. Even though it was sunny and the sun was in my eyes sometimes, Mammy and Daddy looked cold. But I was snug inside my pram and with this and my parka, I had plenty of layers to keep me warm.
I could get used to this
I've been away in Wexford since Saturday so I haven't had a chance to post here. Mammo doesn't seem to have the internet. While I was there, my Mammy started to give me some different food - this time from a spoon. It's quite good fun although Mammy can be a bit slow so I prefer to control the spoon myself until she works out how to get a bit faster. I had white stuff called rice at the weekend and then yesterday and today I had orange stuff called carrot. I'm not sure why but they seem to put at least 2 bibs on me before they start feeding me. Weird.
I love a good book
This is my with my Mammy's friend Monica and her littlest boy Liam. As you can see he's very big compared to me but he was very nice to me and we played some good games. And his Mammy read me a book, although she didn't like it when I tried to eat the book. Maybe it's because she's a librarian. I met Liam's big brothers yesterday too but they didn't stay in my house. They were more interested in the dead animals in the Natural History Museum than in me!
Teddy Bear's Picnic
I've had a busy few days. I'm nearly 7kgs now. That's 15lbs 6 and it means I'm twice as heavy now as when I was born. We went to get me weighed on Tuesday morning and I saw lots of smaller babies. They were so interesting I couldn't concentrate on having my feed at all. Yesterday Caoimhe came to our house with her Mammy and Daddy. We had a lovely walk and we played with all my toys. Caoimhe helped me to spread them all over the floor. I've been swimming this morning and I think my Mammy is bringing me out to meet her friend Monica who has lots of big boys this afternoon. I'd better have a nap so that I have some energy for that!!
Look how well I can balance
I had a busy weekend with my family. On Saturday night my Mammy & Daddy went out without me - I don't remember them ever doing that before. But my Mammo came up from Wexford specially and I was very good for her (or that's what she told Mammy & Daddy anyway). Yesterday afternoon Mammy disappeared again for a while but there were plenty of sports for me & Daddy to watch on telly so we didn't miss her at all. This morning I got a pretty babygro in the post from my auntie Jill. I love it. Now I just have a little bit of growing to do to fit into it...
Watching rugby with my Daddy
Foot in mouth
Mammy didn't quite manage to catch it on camera, but yes, I am proud to announce that I can put my toes in my mouth. I'd just had a bath and I was swimming today too so I'm feeling quite well limbered up. We're all hoping this means I'll be knackered tonight! I was in Wexford with my Mammy & Mamo for the last few days which is why I haven't had a chance to post. We had a lovely time. I met lots of new people and saw some again. Auntie Peggy who is my great-grand aunt was thrilled to see me & my great uncle Seamus made me smile and we met my great auntie Grainne in a lovely place called Rosslare. My Mammy's not sure all these people want to have the "great" in front of their names but I know my real aunties are much younger!! I saw my friend Caoimhe again too. She's a very big girl compared to me. I missed my Daddy while we were away but then he played some really good "flying through the air" games with me when we got back. Mamo looked a little nervous!!!
The view is different this way around
Well I was 4 months old on Friday. I went to a music group with my Mammy and some of my friends. Most of the other children were a lot older though. Mammy said she was going to go out and get my Uncle Ross to babysit. But I was grumpy all afternoon even when Gavin called (not like me at all) and she didn't want to scare Uncle Ross off so she decided to stay at home with me. Mammy and Daddy keep looking in my mouth for something called teeth which they think are on their way. But they're not through yet.
Front Crawl
I'm just back from the pool. It was my 2nd time but Mammy forgot to bring the camera last time. Anyway I was much better this time because I've mastered holding my head out of the water now. Mammy did get my face a bit splashed a few times and I got some water in my mouth but I decided to pretend I didn't notice so she wouldn't feel bad. It's been a busy week. I got weighed on Tuesday and I'm back to putting on weight again. Mind you it's probably because I seem to be getting a great big bottle of milk that tastes a bit different from normal at tea time. I like it though & drink the whole thing. We went for lunch and a walk with my friend Susan and her Mammy yesterday and today Sean and his Mammy were at the pool so I have a great social circle now. I wonder what we'll do tomorrow...
