Ella & Ríodhna's World

My name is Ella. This used to be my blog. Then when I was 2 years, 5 months and 1 week old, I got a little sister called Ríodhna. I love my sister so now we're sharing our blog. Welcome to our world...

How to look after a baby

How to look after a baby

I'm practising to look after a baby in case my Mammy needs some help soon, you know. I think I'll be very good as long as the baby does exactly what I want when I want it. Otherwise Mammy can look after the baby herself.

Daddy's doing this to embarass me later
I've got the hang of the potty thing now. It's amazing how quickly you get the point when you realise that there's a little bit of chocolate available for performing on demand. I'm still holding out on one thing - but mostly I'm good now. At the weekend everyone seemed to get excited when I used the potty. On Saturday evening, Daddy, Emma and Jamie were all shouting "try" twice when I was on the potty. I was grateful for the encouragement - even though they seemed to be looking at the rugby on the tv more than at me.

My ponytail

My ponytail

ok, so some of you have been waiting for more than two years to see me with a ponytail so here you go. It's not the tidiest ponytail in the world but you can't have everything. And they don't last more than about 20 mins anyway.

So at the moment I'm experimenting with using the potty. This is day 4 of the experiment. Mixed results so far but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon. In the creche I make all the other girls come in to have a chat with me while I'm trying it out - but then I'm sort of too busy to remember why I'm there. At home, I only have Mammy or Daddy to talk to so it's easier to concentrate.

How comfy are we

We were in Uncle Ross' this weekend. Denise wasn't there but everyone else was. Jill and Mark cooked yummy food - well the bit I tasted was yummy but then I decided the crisps and crackers were more interesting so I left everyone else to the other food.
Chillin with Jill

Ross has a cool bean bag thing called a budda bag - the good thing about being my size is that no matter who is sitting on it, there's always room for me. I think if I work on Daddy he might buy a great bog one for us - but he says not until the house is bigger... Who knows when that will be?

There are a lot of things planned to happen around here soon but I'm not sure when any of them are happening.
