A walk in the park ...

A walk in the park ...
Originally uploaded by Ella's Ma.
Yesterday Daddy took Mamó and myself to Powerscourt Waterfall and we had a great time playing on the park. I went right up to the waterfall (ok its not really that big) and I could feel the spray coming from it.
Then I spotted a childrens playground and made sure They took me over there to play on the swings and slide. It was the biggest slide I have ever been on so much so that Mamó was to afraid to come down on it and she had to come back down the stairs to get me. After that I went to a farm near our house to see the baby lambs and other animals - unfortuantely the Ewe's hadn't realised I was coming and so there will be no lambs for another few days at least !
All this attention is great - as my daddy is off work for the week and Ríodhna is still to small to go out yet - so I get to have all the fun by myself

I love puddles ....

Here I am at Airfield farm in my wellingtons splashing in the puddles - I realy like stomping in the mud. I made daddy let me walk in all the puddles back to the car.
Then we went to Smyths toystore to buy a present for Ríodhna because she bought me some nice presents the day before. I bought her a little Barney soft toy - maybe tomorrow I will sing her the song ....

Introducing Ríodhna Maura McGrath

This is my baby sister Ríodhna. Mammy and Daddy went off to the hospital when I was having my sausages on Sunday morning and arrived back with her at bed time. She brought me some good presents so I'm going to let her stay for now.

For the fact fiends - she 3.82kgs which is 8lbs 8ozs. She was born at 12:22 on 11/03/2007. And she is 49 cm long. She sleeps a lot and so far is very quiet.

There are more pictures of her (and a few new ones of me too) on flickr if you can click on that.

When she's big enough, I'll share this blog with her properly and let her blog for herself. Then she can tell you what she thinks of me!

Perfect timing

Ok, I know you are just all waiting for other news but there is none yet. And I can't even post a picture of me to keep you entertained. Because, with my perfect timing, I have chicken pox. So Mammy thinks it would be cruel to post a picture of me covered in spots here. It would be - but that doen't usually stop her.

I've been home since Wednesday afternoon now and I'm still getting new spots on new body parts every day. Today was face & arms day. So there are lots of baths and lots of cream being patted on. I don't like the cream very much but I've figured out now that it makes me feel better so I let Mammy and Daddy do it and I tell them where I need extra bits. I've a new pale yellow medicine too - I don't really like it but I've got good about taking that too. It's hard to sleep for the whole night but I'm being cheerful and hoping it won't last too long. I guess Mammy will never have a problem remembering whether or not I've had chicken pox after this...
