Ella & Ríodhna's World

My name is Ella. This used to be my blog. Then when I was 2 years, 5 months and 1 week old, I got a little sister called Ríodhna. I love my sister so now we're sharing our blog. Welcome to our world...

Have passport, will travel

Have passport, will travel

Look, I got a passport today. It's for my holidays in Spain in 2 weeks time. But it will last till 2008 (that's until I'm nearly 4 years old) so I think I'll probably use it lots of times.

It was my Daddy's birthday this weekend. So we had a lovely weekend. On Saturday morning Mammy & me went shopping while Daddy had a lie in. We went for a long walk with the doggies in the afternoon and in the evening we went to Sarah & Stan's house for a barbeque. I got to meet lots of people, eat chicken and strawberries and stay out very late.

On Sunday Daddy wasn't so happy because Cork lost a football match. But then we went out to eat. I didn't get to order from the menu for myself yet but Mammy and Daddy's food looked lovely.

Happy Birthday Uncle Mark

Look at my new book

I was going to smile for this one. Then I heard how old you are so I got a fright. Wow. 28 is old.

If you were here I'd let you read my book to me. Mammy says you're going on the radio instead. I knw it won't be as much fun as reading my book but enjoy...

You can never have too much denim

Have you noticed you many different denim dresses I have? You can never have too much denim you know.

Did you know I can stand all by myself now? I expect it will be a while before you get to see a photo of it because I can only manage about 5 seconds and Mammy is too busy encouraging me to take a photo. It's quite hard to balance. I have to do a pose which I may do in exercise classes when I'm a lady - feet shoulder width apart, knees bent, arms slightly out to the side - but it works. Sort of! I'll have to keep practising.

Hi fans, I'm still here

Don't worry about that. I just haven't had much time to blog recently. I was in Wexford all weekend with my Mammo and Uncle Ross & Denise were there too. Last week Nana, Auntie Nicola and Dave were in my house so I didn't even have time to go to the creche, never mind do any blogging. The weekend before I went swimming and shopping and I was at a barbeque so I really have been very busy. Like Auntie Jill says, when you're actually doing stuff you don't have so much time to blog.
I have a few good photos to show you anyway. The first one here is me getting ready to go to the barbeque. I thought I was nearly going to have t push my own pram there until I realised we were going in the car.

Last week I learned all about playing with balloons. We had a laugh until Daddy got so out of breath from laughing that he couldn't blow the balloon up for me any more.
Ha, ha, balloonsC'mon, give it back

I have no photos of me this weekend but here's picture of lots of the people at the wedding that Mammy and Daddy were at. Look at all the little girls in the pretty dresses. I'm sure I'm nearly big enough to get dressed up like that too. Only I think maybe I need to grow a little more hair before I can quite look like that...
Lots of people all dressed up

Beside the seaside

This weekend the sun shone again so we went for a trip out to the beach. As you can see, we didn't bring the doggies this time but that was ok because they came for a walk with us on Saturday and anyway I think it would have been a bit warm for them. I had to wear loads of suncream and keep my hat on. I don't have any sunglasses though and Mammy and Daddy both do. I don't think I'd like my eyes covered like that anyway.

We watched a rowing race and went for a long walk and then had some ice cream. Mammy and Daddy had gigantic cons that they couldn't possibly finish by themselves so I gave a helping hand.

Ta-daaa!

Today we went for a drive in the countryside and then for a big long walk. Well ok, I didn't walk. I'm not really ready for that. I got pushed in my buggy around some lakes in a place called Glendalough.

It was sunny on our way there so we got to sit in the sun and eat ice cream. And it was sunny on the way back too. But there was some rain when we arrived so we had to sit in the car and listen to some music for a while until the rain passed. And then I had my raincover over me for most of the walk in case it started again. I'm not sure how mush fresh air I get through that rain cover. Ah well. It's the thought that counts.

This conducting lark is pretty easy

Dressing up weekend

I'm just back from a couple of days in Wexford. I had a great time because I got to explore my Mammo's house - plenty of new places to crawl around and new tables to stand up against. We got there nice and early because mammy took the day off work so there was plenty of time for me to do some exploring and basically turn the house upside down before bed time. I'm allowed to do anything I want in that house - I don't think it was like that when Mammy was a little girl!

The Hill Family

We went to a Christening on Saturday afternoon. It was for Ronan Hill. He's a very small baby. He's a bit older than Auntie Jill's friend Levon though. And he doesn't have a blog. I seem like quite a big girl beside him but he already has a big sister so he knows all about big girls and mostly ignores them. He was wearing a white dress when we got there first but changed into more boy-ish clothes later on. There were lots of people there - but they were mostly adults so I played with Caoimhe.

Me & Caoimhe in her castle

It wasn't great weather over the weekend so yesterday I got to wear another new dress from the Auntie Nic collection. It's lucky I'm not growing so fast any more because I'm getting to wear all my many dresses over this summer. I have to say they are a bit more awkward to crawl in than trousers - but sure that won't matter at all soon enough. I can scoot around pretty fast when I am crawling though - I follow my Mammy if she decides to go into a different room so there's no escape from me now. Not that she would ever want to...

Me standing by the TV

I know this isn't real walking but...

I've been meaning to put some video up here for ages but now I'm actually doing something that's worth making a movie of. Can you see my Mammy fussing in the background? I think she thought I was going to fall over. Ha! No way! My Daddy was cheering me on so he's get the big smiles.
