Today I got a new cousin and two new teeth

Look at that

I thought my teeth were going to be the big news of the day, but then Daddy phoned to tell us that Auntie Susan had a little baby boy this morning. So I have another boy cousin. This one will be smaller than me though so I'll be able to boss him around, I mean, show him how to be a good boy... We're all very excited about it. I bet Jack loves his new baby brother already.

2 teeth have cut through - one on each side on the top at the back. They're pretty sharp. I'm chewing so much on my fingers that Mammy is giving me loads of other things to distract. This morning we brough the doggies for a walk. We didn't go to the pool because I have a bit of a cold. We went shopping this afternoon and I got some great new books.

I have to go now to help Mammy make some dinner. Daddy will be home soon.

Uncle Ross' house

Uncle Ross' swing
Originally uploaded by Ella's Ma.
I fell asleep after we dropped the boys at the station and when I woke up, we were somewhere completely different. It was my Uncle Ross' house in Newbridge. I think he has lived there for a while but it's the first time I've been there. He was doing lots of cleaning when I arrived. There was no need to clean it just for me!

Although Uncle Ross in a grown up and so is Auntie Denise and there are no children in the house, they have a swing in their garden. So of course I had to try that out. And I definitely approve. It's a high quality swing and I'll be able to use it for years!
I feel quite safe

I love exploring other people's houses. I sorted out some of the kitchen cupboards, moved the kitchen chairs around, tidied up some paint pots, swam on the sitting room table, played with my new Fifi car (from the Crumps - thanks Crumps) and generally made my presence felt. We ate out dinner there and then I had another lovely snooze on the way home.

What a nice day.

Look at all these boys

Wow

As you can see, we've had a lot of visitors this week. This morning Liam, Séan and Conor came to see me with their Mammy, Monica. Their Mammó dropped them off because they were staying with her last night. All the toys came out again - although Conor and Séan had brought some big boy toys with them too because my toys are not so interesting to them. Well except my Winnie the Pooh car. Everyone love Winne the Pooh.

We all had lunch together and then packed all their bags into the boot of Mammy's car. Everyone else squashed into the car except me because I have my own seat so no-one can squash me. Ha, ha, ha. We drove into the train station and I was very sad to have to say good bye to them.

Can't you see we're busy

You'll have to bear in mind that this photo was taken at the end of a long, long day on Thursday. Earlier in the day I looked bee-you-ti-ful - well at least my t-shirt was clean. But then I got busy playing and eating and I didn't have time to stay clean. I got collected early from creche which was a nice surprise. We came home and cooked some dinner and then Caoimhe and Ronan came to visit with their Mammy and Daddy. Between us, we played with every single toy I own, which is quite a feat, I can tell you... I ate my fair share of the dinner too and had an extra piece of garlic bread, which I love.

Meeting up with friends

Let's climb up this slide
Originally uploaded by Ella's Ma.

Well today was a great day. This morning I had my first breakfast mysef and then my sausages with Mammy & Daddy later. Then Mammy and me went for a walk. We met Susan and her Mammy and we walked to the park. There are swings and slides there. We both think the swings are a bit baby-ish now but we had great fun climbing up the slide and sliding back down. We didn't climb up the ladder though - just up the slippy bit of the slide. I would have climbed higher but my Mammy wasn't tall enough to hold on to me so she kept making me slide back down. Susan discovered that you can slide down on your tummy instead of on your bum. That's fun too.

We both had a bit of a nap on the way back because the pond was empty so there were no ducks to quack at. I think we were out for ages. Mammy thought I might have another nap in my cot when I got home. Ha!

When we got home I did some painting. I got these paints at Christmas but I hadn't used them at all yet. I had so much fun with them that I had a bath afterwards just to continue on the excitement!

Yesterday was good too. We went to the pool in the morning and in the afternoon we did some shopping. We didn't buy anything for me though which is quite unusual.

Other exciting things - Auntie Jill minded me on Thursday night. I was very good for her - she even putme to bed. Mammy made me promise to be good so that Jill would mind me again. And on Friday morning, Jill walked me to the creche so I got lots of fresh air.

I don't know what the plans are for this week. But as I'm 16 months old now I'm sure I'll be doing lots of big girl things.
