Driving home

Well Mammy has a new phone with a good camera on it. So now she can take my photo while we're driving home from the creche. I'm not sure if she should really be doing that but we're mostly stuck in traffic anyway.

I think I look a bit tired here. Probably because I didn't sleep much today. Another early night. I'm trying out this walking thing. So I can take a couple of steps now before I fall into someone's arms, or just fall over. But it's good fun learning...

Today I cause a bit of chaos in the creche. Joanna has the same shoes as me. I think she got hers first. Anyway she decided that my shoes must be hers too so she wanted to take them back from me. I didn't let her though.

Adventures in the kitchen

Adventures in the kitchen

My Daddy was away for the weekend at a Man Utd match. I don't know why he keeps going to them. They keep losing as far as I can tell. Anyway Mammy and I had a girlie weekend. Anyone who knows my mammy well will know that this did not involve much time in the kitchen at all although I did have some tasty new food by Sunday so she must have done that when I was asleep. We did shop though. I now have a new car seat for Mammy's car so I can see out the window and get a good view of Ranelagh in the rain through the traffic jams.

We also went to Mammy's friends house and went for a long walk by the sea. It was somewhere called "the north side". Seemed nice to me. Except I don't think anyone grown up realises that it's colder in the buggy that it is when you're walking and I didn't even have my new furry coat on. Clontarf is no Marbella so in the end I reminded them it was time to stop gossiping and head home. We called in on Eoin & Deirdre too so I got to attempt to destroy lots of different people's homes.

I wonder if there's something good to eat in here
I also got my first pair of Clarks shoes. Size 3.5 G. I don't know if that's big or small. They are pink & purple and they are called cruiser shoes - because that's what I'm doing at the moment. Crusing.

Having said that I was back in the creche and saw Joanna walking again so I'm thinking about trying that fairly soon. I think I'll keep you all in suspense for a bit longer though... it was fun to be back in the creche - so much fun that I couldn't bring myself to go asleep all day and needed a bit of an early night tonight!

Sorry about the delay fans

Let me tell you a bit more about my holidays. We flew over on a very big plane. We had to get up very early that morning so I had a nice sleep in my mammy's arms on the plane. I have to say I enjoyed the whole thing. There was a bit of waiting around for our car when we got there and then a little more waiting when Mammy made the car hire man get me a nicer, more comfortable car seat - I'm glad she did too.

Once we got to the apartment, we had about 5 mins for me to eat some food and then it was off in search of an irish bar to watch the all ireland hurling final. So we watched from teh Hogan Stand. Cork won. My Daddy is from Cork so that's good. I think my mammo might have secretly been cheering for Galway but she was very quiet about it!
Maybe next time
The next day we went out to explore Porto Banus. Daddy took lots of pictures of boats - I think he can see us all on one one day!!

An empty Furla shopAnd just look at this Furla shop. It's nearly empty. Now that's not because mammy & mammo bought everything they had. It was like that when we got there. Honest. And what was left wasn't bought by us either!

Uncle John, Auntie Susan and Jack were on holidays nearby too staying with their friends Johnny and Penny. So we went to visit them. Took us a while to find their apartment but when we got there there was loads to explore and we have a lvoely dinner with them that evening. I ate lots of crusty bread. I like Spanish crusty bread a lot. With cousin Jack

To help everyone out, I decided to go to bed later on holidays and wake up later in the mornings too. Mammy seemed quite pleased about that. She wasn't too happy about the fact that it really was too hot for me to be bothered eating though. Although some of the Spanish baby food wasn't as nice as what I get at home either.

The apartment we were staying in was pretty cool. It has nice shiny floors that I could crawl around really fast on. And a table that was just the right height for me to stand at when I need to figure out how something worked. All figured out

I did quite a bit of swimming. It's funny though - at home it's cold outside in your swimsuit but the pools are warm. Here it was sunny and lovely and warm in the air but the pools were cold and took quite a bit of getting used to. In the end I enjoyed it but I thought I'd show you some pictures of the great faces I can make here as you always see smiley ones of me normally.

aaggh coldok thats a bit betterwhich one is bestthat frog used to move

In the end I got used to it and enojyed my swims. It was best when I had my arm bands on ebcause then I could pretty much make my own way around the special pool that I think was just for me although I let another little boy play in it one day.

As you can tell I didn't get much of a tan. I think it was because of all the cream and hats Mammy made me wear. It was nice to have mamo there to look after me / fuss over me too. I love an audience.
Enjoying the sun

So I had a lovely holiday and now tomorrow I go back to the creche. At least I have lots to tell them about. I wonder will they like my new raucous, screecy tones that I have decided are great fun!

Eric Roche

My Daddy's good friend Eric passed away today. He had been sick for a while. We are thinking of him and his family tonight. He was a very good guitar player so I've put a track of one of his albums here to remember him and so that you can hear it too...

Something new to break

It's amzing how many interesting things there are for me to play with in this house. I was in Mammo's house at the weekend and she had even more interesting things to do - kitchen cupboards to empty, radiator covers that make a great noise when you bang them and doors that you can see through but everything looks funny.

We were in Wexford because it was my Daddo's anniversary. We all went to mass. I went into the cry chapel with my Daddy. I don't know why they call it that. I didn't cry. Afterwards lots and lots of people came round to Mammo's house so I entertained them by dong circuits around the tables in the sitting room and making Mammy follow me everywhere.

This weekend we're going to Spain. I've been keep an eye on the weather so here it is so that you can too...
