My first Liga

I had something called a Liga today. tasted good. And it was good to play with - nice and sticky so it didn't fall out of my hand so easily. And I could draw patterns with it on the table too!! I think I actually only had half a Liga. It looked to me like my Daddy ate the other half... I don't know if I'll be getting crunchy things all the time now. Yesterday I had some tiny pasta bows. They were ok but I got bored with them after a while because it's a lot of effort to chew them with only 2 teeth. I don't know when I'm going to get more teeth though.

Look, they've started to strap me into my chair. I think it's because I can make a decent effort to escape from my low chair if I'm not fastened in tightly enough so they must be afraid I'll manage to get out of this one. Not that I had figured out how to do it yet. But soon... I have to say the straps cramp my style a bit for the photos. I'll have to negotiate with Mammy to take them off in future.

And --- Oh, Auntie Em ----- there's no place like home!

Well I finally got to meet my Aunite Emma & Uncle Jamie since I last blogged. We went to the airport to meet them last Tuesday - I've been to the airport twice before but this time I was actually awake the whole time, which was a first. Unfortunately I've a bit of a sore eye so they didn't seem me at my most beautiful but I've been in good form so I'm sure my personality makes up for that! They went to Wexford with Mammó for a few days but everyone was here at the weekend and yesterday I stayed at home with Mammó and Auntie Emma while Uncle Jamie went playing golf. And this morning, everyone got up at my waking up time (when mammy doesn't usually like to get out of bed) and very fast taxi driver took them away. Apparently they'll be back at Christmas so I'm already looking forward to that... whenever it is!

Well it's lovely and sunny this weekend. So I've been trying out all my sun hats and playing in the garden with the dogs. I did this angelic pose so that my Nana would have a nice photo of me to take home with her and put up on her wall. She's gone home now but she taught me how to do a big cheer and I'm very good at it. I'm starting to talk a bit. So far I can say ba ba, ga ga and da da. Mammy keeps trying to get me to say a different sound but I haven't managed it yet...

Happy Birthday Auntie Emma!

I seem to have had a longer weekend again this weekend. I think it's because I didn't go to the creche on Friday because my Nana looked after me. And on Saturday I went for a long walk with Mammy and Séan and Susan and their Mammies. And I had my lunch in Séan's house.

On Sunday lots of things happened. My Mammy was in the newspaper for some reason.My Daddy was still fixing the floor in my room which is like a giant jigsaw puzzle that was hard to do, even for him. I don't think he'll be too happy with this photo either!!!


We went out for a long drive in the sunshine. And guess what else? I tried playing with Cosmo and I discovered that he's just like a big live teddybear so we had great fun. And then when I was finished Mammy went mad cleaning my hands. Not sure why she did that.


(PS Sorry Auntie Nicola for not saying Happy Birthday to you here when it was your birthday. But a BIG congratulations on your enagement. To you and Dave. I don't have a photo of the two of you to put in my blog so you'll have to send me one).

My weekend away

We went to Galway last weekend. To Oughterard. I went to sleep in my house on friday night and when I woke up I was in Galway in a nice cot in a cool bedroom with great pictures on the wall and it was raining outside. And Mammy and Daddy were pretty tired. Something about not having as much sleep as me.

It was Liam's 3rd birthday last week - he kept his birthday cake for us so I had my first taste of chocolate cake. Pretty yummy, I must say. And a little bit messy too.


I got all dressed up on Sunday - I have so many dresses that I really don't need an excuse to dress up! Simon made everyone a lovely fry up but they didn't share it with me no matter how cute a face I made at them. Liam and Sean tried to outdo me on the cute faces. I'm not sure they succeeded!!


After that we all went for a long drive to a beach. Liam came in our car to look after me. We nearly got blown off the beach but the boys found a crab. Conor seemed interested in having him for dinner but Sean wanted to set him free and all the grownups thought that was the best thing to do. The island in the background is Crump island which is the same as Liam's name (and everyone else's too). His Daddy is thinking of claiming it. I think he should wait till a sunnier day myself!

After the beach we went to a hotel so I could eat some food my Mammy brought for me and everyone else could have a lemonade. And then it was time to go home. On Monday we drove back to Dublin but this time I stayed awake some of the time and sang along to the radio. We finally found the right colour pink for my room and some new shelves when we stopped in a big shop on the way home. So there might be some decorating this weekend.
