Ella & Ríodhna's World

My name is Ella. This used to be my blog. Then when I was 2 years, 5 months and 1 week old, I got a little sister called Ríodhna. I love my sister so now we're sharing our blog. Welcome to our world...

It seems to have been summer weather for ages now. This weekend all of my Mammy's family went out for a big Saturday lunch. I went too (obviously). It was such a grown up restuarant, I had a seat all to myself although sometimes I shared with Mammy and Daddy instead. It was a bit confusing to see all those aunties and uncles and mammo in one place at the same time. Uncle Ross seemed to know lots of other people in the restaurant too. My Dadó would have been 65 so it was kind of in honour of him.

That restaurant was very near the park with the ducks so afterwards Mammó asked a nice lady could we have some old bread to feed the ducks and we walked into the park to feed them. Unfortunately, the ducks in my park had been fed by lots of other people already so they weren't too hungry but I threw the bread in anyway, in case they ate it later.

Wexford beaches are the best

and we were on this one two days in a row when we were in Wexford the weekend before last. It's not so crowded as Bournemouth and there weren't as many teenagers as Ceathru Rua but it did get busier before we left to go home and have a nap and some lunch. Also it's a famous beach - Mammy says some guy called Tom Hanks made a film on this beach a few years ago & the sand dunes haven't been the same since - although they look pretty good to me. She used to have great fun running up and down them when she was a little girl, a bit bigger than me.

Smell the flowers doggie
I seem to have buckets and spades and fun things to play with at the beach in everyone's house. I got buried in the sand and destroyed a lot of sandcastles but I sent Mammo to the sea to get all the water I needed - I didn't fancy getting soaked again like I did with Daddy in Bournemouth.

And in the evening I used my beach watering can to help Mammo water her flowers. I helped her pick some nice ones to bring into the house too. We visited my great-gran-auntie Peggy too. She was delighted to see me. I showed her how to do the actions and sing twinkle twinkle little star and I ate some of her fruit too!

Doesn’t time fly…

Meet Noddy and Tessie Bear

…when you’re having fun. Only 3 months to go to my 2nd birthday. I can hardly believe it. I’m liking the title of my blog more and more. Auntie Jill keeps changing hers but “Ella’s world” really suits me. At the moment, it is totally Ella’s world. Last weekend I went on an “Ella”-plane over to England. I didn't know England was hotter than Spain but last weekend it definitely was. My cheeks aren't always that rosy, you know.

so many stones so little time

We stayed with my Nana except for one night when we stayed in a castle in a very hot room because we were at Ronan and Nadine's wedding. That was good fun. I got to play loads with Caoimhe and baby Ronan - we ran around and made things out of the lovely stones outside.

we got wet in the sea

is this a heat wave

On Sunday we went to a beach. It was even more crowded than the beach in Galway a few weeks ago and it was much more sunny. I dug loads of holes and knocked down 1 or 2 sandcastles. I had my legs buried loads of time and Daddy brought me in to the water but the waves were quite high.

I have loads of photos - too many to show them all in this post, so click through to flickr for a look....
