Ella & Ríodhna's World

My name is Ella. This used to be my blog. Then when I was 2 years, 5 months and 1 week old, I got a little sister called Ríodhna. I love my sister so now we're sharing our blog. Welcome to our world...

Happy Belated Mothers Day

Whats this on my hands

to all the Mammies reading this blog.

My Mammy went away for the weekend. Well not the whole weekend. She was here when I woke up on Saturday morning and she was back by the time I work from my nap on Sunday afternoon. She's sick now though. Of course I remembered Mother's day and I got her some lovely flowers.

Happy Mother's Day

Daddy and me had fun though. I think I played with every toy and even got a new one. I was on the slides in a toy shop because it waas too rainy to go to the ones outside. I got to wear about 4 or 5 different outfits over 2 days because I kept dirtying them all! I also played my new favourite game which is taking off my shoes and socks and trying to put them back on. Which I can't quite manage yet. So I get really frustrated about that.

P.S. just so you know, I do still use all my toys including my little chair all the time.

Watching the news like a big girl

If you look very closely you can see that this photo was taken on St Patricks Day. And no, I'm not wearing green. Or shamrocks. And the only parade I saw was on the news. But that was ok because it was a really cold day - we found that out on a quick trip to the supermarket in the morning. So the fire got lit. I had a quick nap upstairs at lunchtime but then came down and lay beside Mammy on the couch (no, she was lying down, silly - the couch isn't that big) and slept for another 2 hours. So all in all it was very relaxing.

As you can see I'm starting to use the adult furniture. My fisher price singing chair is too low down when there's this much lego on the floor. I need to be able to rise above it!

Bringing teddy for a ride

On Saturday we all went into town to look in some shops. And then we came home and watched a big rugby match. I think it was very exciting but I was far too busy to sit down and watch.

Come on and dance

Last weekend was 3 days long. I like that a lot. On Sunday I went for my regular swim and we also went for a big long walk. In the park, the dogs ran off their leads and I got out of my buggy and walked down the path myself. We bumped into Susan and her Mammy and Patricia so we had a quick chat. And then we went to the park. I had a quick go on the swings but that park also has an activity frame with a slide and a tunnel and a bridge that you can walk over just for kids my size. Actually it might be for bigger kids but I have no fear. I can walk to the top of the ladder and sit down at the top of the slide and slide down. For some reason Mammy likes me to go back up the ladder (to let other kids get a turn) but I like to climb back up the slide-y bit and I'm very good at it. I get this "no fear" gene from my Daddy apparently.

I also met my neighbours Séan and Liam while we were there. They are much littler than the Crumps of the same names. I never played with them before. Séan is a year older than me and Liam a year younger so he was only allowed to sit in his buggy because he can't walk or even crawl yet.

Time for a quick rest

time for a quick rest

Hello, blog fans. The Irish blogging awards were on last night and I wasn't invited. I can hardly believe it. It must be because I've been neglecting the nlog a bit recently.

So to fill you in since the last time. My new baby cousin in called Charlie. I haven't met him yet but we are going to visit him on Easter weekend. Which is next month, I think.

I've also had another 2 new teeth since the last time I blogged. Now I have 12 in total. 4 up and 4 down at the front and 1 top & bottom on both side at the back. I can tell you it's a bit sore getting all these teeth.

I'm now fully in the toddler room in the creche since 1st March. I'd been spending a lot of time there anyway as it's a lot more fun than playing with the babies who can't even walk yet. It's much easier to get your clothes dirty in the toddler room! And when we take our naps, we lie down on mattresses on the floor and close our eyes, instead of going into cots. Mammy can hardly believe that I sleep that way but it's because I'm knackered from keeping up with those bigger children.

breakfast with daddy

Mammy was very lazy yesterday so Daddy had to look after me all morning. It was very easy for him though. We had breakfast, played and then went back for another snooze. In case you didn't know, I'm a very messy eater but I do love my food! This morning my friend Susan was at the swimming pool too - it was cool because we were able to play the "hiding in the lockers" game while our mammies were getting ready. That's normally the boring bit. I met a little boy called Alex too - it was a different Alex though - not my friend Alex from the creche.
