Ella & Ríodhna's World

My name is Ella. This used to be my blog. Then when I was 2 years, 5 months and 1 week old, I got a little sister called Ríodhna. I love my sister so now we're sharing our blog. Welcome to our world...

I've a great social life these days. I've had play dates with Susan and Séan the last two weekends - once in Susan's house (she has good toys) and once at the swimming pool where Séan taught us both to jump in from the side of the pool to right beside your Mammy. The trick for me at the moment is not to jump on her big tummy (there's a little, little baby in there - I think it's getting quite big now)!

I think I made the mistake of getting involved in inter-Aunt politics last Friday. Mammy has explained now that that's a bad idea. So sorry about that...

Over to England for the New Year

The next time Daddy says "we're going on a plane tomorrow", I don't think I'll be quite so excited. We went to the airport in the middle of the afternoon and it was the middle of the night before we got to meet Uncle John in England. I'm sure it's not meant to take that long.

AAAGGGHHHH!!!
Anyway it was worth it. I had great fun playing with all of Charlie's toys and showing him how to open even more presents. A doll's house, teddy bears, a doll, a buggy to run in circles around the kitchen and living room, even more clothes. It was great.

And we did lots of fun things - I played some video games, ate lovely dinners, saw Auntie Nic and Uncle Dave's wedding DVD, went to London and went on something called the London Eye, did a little bit of shopping and went to a great big party on New Year's Eve.
Teaching Nana to dance

It was on very late but I did loads and loads of dancing. I'm very good at disco dancing. There were lots of other kids there but I like showing all the grown-ups the best ways to dance. When I got tired we went out to the car and at midnight I saw loads of fireworks up in the sky.

I love Christmas

Santa Claus Came

After weeks of singing songs, looking out for Christmas trees and talking about Santa Claus and reindeer, I know what all the fuss is about now. Presents! Lots of them! I am so good at opening presents now. I love it. And it seemed like I had nothing to do but open new presents and play with them for days at Christmas.

Now listen to me

First of all Santa Claus - the best bit! He left me lots of toys - a village with people and houses with a roundabout that goes round and round, a Thomas train set, some very loud jingle bells so I can wake people up in the morning, Dora jigsaws and loads of other stuff. That kept me entertained all morning and then before dinner when Mark and Jill arrived, everyone else started giving me presents too. I got clothes (even some Dora ones) and an easel for drawing and a mat for drawing on and books and wellies!

You can't catch me
Well I was so excited that I couldn't really eat a roast dinner so I let everyone else do that and I had some snacks and some ice-cream for desert. We pulled crackers and all wore hats and then afterwards I ran around some more until I was so tired I just had to go to bed.
