Ella & Ríodhna's World

My name is Ella. This used to be my blog. Then when I was 2 years, 5 months and 1 week old, I got a little sister called Ríodhna. I love my sister so now we're sharing our blog. Welcome to our world...

It must be nearly Christmas

Because we keep getting presents. And I can see there are more Christmas presents under the tree with our names on them too but we're not opening those on Christmas Day. On Friday we got great presents from the Crumps. I think Ríodhna told about Imaginosity. Also Jill & Mark called and Jill cut my hair again so my fringe isn't in my eyes any more.

Then today we went to a Christmas party at Mammies office. There were loads of children there. There was a colouring room where I coloured in the most colourful Santa of the lot! And in the big party room there was a magician who was really good and very funny. Then there was a Punch & Judy show which I didn't like that much so we wandered off and found some chocolate.
I'm ready to go home now
After that I had my face painted while Ríodhna had her bottle. And then a clown made me a doggy on a lead out of balloons. I'm very quiet when I go to things like that but Mammy knows what I want so she looks after me. But best of all, Santa was at the party. He was in a grotto and we had to queue to go in. When he called us in, he knew all about me and Ríodhna - he knows we're living in a new house at the moment so he'll know where to find us. And I managed to find my voice for long enough to tell him I want a helmet and a bike. And then some presents fell down the chimney and they were for Ríodhna and for me.

When we came home, I played with my new play-doh toys and Ríodhna played with her new activity triangle. Emma & Jamie came to visit and then Jacinta & Jonathan called over - more presents. Yay!!!

But even more importantly, I moved today! Ok, I know, I've been moving for ages, But I moved across the floor. Backwards I know. All the same - I went from the middle of the living room right over to the side. I have a Dora mat to sit on now so it's easier to move on than my duvet and once I got onto the wooden floor, it was much easier. Jacinta and Jonathan and Mammy and Daddy and Ella saw me. Which was just as well because depending on how I feel, I may not do it again for a while!

We had a busy weekend. The Crumps came to stay on Friday night. I went straight to bed at my normal time but from the sounds of the chaos outside, Ella and Liam took a while to follow me. Ella slept on her Fifi bed but it took them both a while to go asleep. And Conor and Sean were even later. And as for Mammy and Daddy, it was really late when they came to bed. I know because I'm in their room.

Let's fix this car
On Saturday morning we went to Imaginosity with all the Crumps and afterwards we all went to see our house (that I haven't lived in since I was 2 months old). Imaginosity was cool. There was plenty for all of us to play with which is quite a feat. Ella and Liam did lots of climbing up a climbing frame and Liam helped her when she was stuck. I went in a backpack on Simon's back. But when I fell asleep, Mammy took me out and gave me a cuddle instead and when I woke up, I found some toys for me to play with.

Lazy Saturday mornings

Lazy Saturday mornings

Look at us. Not even dressed yet and Mammy's taking photos already. She must be feeling guilty about the lack of blogging and other photo activity. Or maybe she just couldn't resist the sight of us both watching Dora together!

So what have we been up to. Well we've had some visitors. Last week Nana was here for a few days. I stayed home from creche to look after her and we did some shopping together and had lots of fun. Mammy brought Ríodhna to creche so we didn't have to mind her. Nana is coming back again tomorrow.

On Friday night Mammy and Daddy went out and Mark and Jill minded us. They were at Daddy's Christmas party and didn't come back till nearly the middle of the next day. But that was ok because Mark took me to my tiny tots swimming class. I go very early on Saturday morning with my friend Ruthie. I've learnt to kick using the float board and to lie on my back when I'm kicking too. It's good fun. And when Mammy is there, we get mini smoothies and breakfast afterwards and she chats to Ruth's mammy.

Ríodhna had a temperature all weekend. We were sad she wasn't feeling so well because she had got better since the last time we blogged and had started eating all her food again. This time she wasn't so sick though but she did use the excuse to get Mammó come up to look after her on Monday and Tuesday. She's all better again now.
