Ella & Ríodhna's World

My name is Ella. This used to be my blog. Then when I was 2 years, 5 months and 1 week old, I got a little sister called Ríodhna. I love my sister so now we're sharing our blog. Welcome to our world...

Higher, higher

Higher, higher

Well it's proper winter weather now I think. It was cold at the weekend so I finally got around to wearing gloved. It's a bit tricky to pick things up when you are wearing your gloves. Almost like being a 6 month old again!

As you can see, I was at the swings again because it was a nice sunny afternoon yesterday. I did need all those padded clothes though. I can make myself swing quite high. Daddy & Mammy were taking turns pushing me. I let them help out although I can make myself go a bit. I find it helps of you throw your head right back - even if your parents prefer you to hold on.

On Saturday Mammo came and minded me so that Mammy and Daddy could go to a rugby match. They were cheering for Ireland. New Zealand were very good so they won. But I think they were glad they went anyway. We had a lovely time while they were away.

stop taking photos and help me get pooh

On Monday a lady came to the creche to take our photos. I think I did all the poses right. I went first to show the other kids how to do it. I had to try to stay clean all day. Hard work I'll tell you.

Not to be outdone Mammy decided to take more photos of me at home after dinner.
Did she clean my face? No.
Did she fix my hair? No.
Did she pull up my tights or straighten my skirt? No.
Did I stand still for her at all or help by smiling? Well would you under those conditions?

In fact these are the best of the photos & even at that Daddy didn't want any of them published but, oh no, Mammy's determined to start embarrassing me while I'm young!

(Btw, why do I need to learn photoshop?)

Ah, Fresh air...

blocking the bridge
Originally uploaded by Ella's Ma.

Well it rained all the way to Galway last weekend but then when we got there it got all nice so we got to go for some lovely walks. This bridge is over a very noisy river where there were fish jumping. I kept missing them when they were pointed out to me.

When we got as far as the park, I was allowed to get out of my buggy to walk around. I wasn't allowed too close to the water- I don't think it was warm enough for me to go for a swim and no-one else seemed too anxious to go for one either.

Not quite as tall as Daddy

We had a great weekend. It was my Mammy's birthday on the Monday so we had a cake for her. Daddy made it. It looked a lot like my one. But this time we had more people to help us eat it so it was all gone very quickly. And all the Crump boys dressed up although I don't think that was for Mammy.

3 skeletons at the table
Today is Auntie Jill's birthday. Happy birthday Auntie Jill. I've been for a swim already this morning and now we're off to go shopping - but only after I've had a chance to smear some lunch all over my clothes!
