Tea for 2 and Lulu

Tea for 2 and Lulu

Wow, we love Christmas. We didn't wake up too early and then we went in to Mammy and Daddy and waited for them to go downstairs - we didn't have to wait long. I think they are excited about Christmas too.

You should see all the stuff Santa brought us this year. Riodhna asked Santa for Rose Petal Cottage and he brought it with loads of other stuff like DVDs and books and best of all for her was a Diego set because he's her favouite.
2 Diegos
I got Lulu kitten that I saw on the Late Late Toy Show. I don't know why it's called that when we watched it in the morning! We both ate our breakfast this morning the fastest we've ever eaten it because Mammy said we could open another present when we finished. You've never seen weetabix disappear so fast.

Posing
Mammó and Ross are staying with us. This year Jamie and Emma and Clare are in Australia. Jill and Mark stayed in their own house for the night but they were in our house by the time we came back from Mass. Lulu was nice and quiet in church for us. You can spend all of Christmas Day opening presents and playing with them. And we got lovely cool clothes too. You definitely don't have time to watch your DVDs or those things that day.

Inspecting
There was loads of food too. Mammó stuffed the turkey and Mammy cooked the roast potatoes - the kind Ross likes, he gets very fussy if you have the wrong kind like last year when it took him a year to get over it. But she forgot about the yorkshire puddings so it'll take Daddy a year to get over that. We ate our dinner which was surprising given how many tea parties we had had in Rose Petal Cottage.

Chocolate fan
Today, to relax, we went to Jill and Mark's house and we all watched Mary Poppins which was one of Mammy's Christmas presents while eating the chocolates from their Christmas tree. Now that Christmas is over, Jill and Mark's new baby is the next exciting thing.

Christmas Countdown

And Rudolph

It's time for bed. It's been a funny week. I've been at home all week with Mammy and Daddy because they were on holidays and I wasn't really well enough to go to creche. I feel fine and I'm good at taking my inhaler medicine now too. But Mammy and Daddy were fussing and didn't want me out in the cold air. Even though that meant I missed my creche play and Santa coming to creche. I'm not sure how they managed the play without me because Maria and Rosanne said I was the best and had the loudest voice and everyone would have loved to see me. They'll have to wait till some other time for my creche play debut. Maria called in though on her way home yesterday and brought my santa claus present (lovely jewellery) and the mug I painted on our creche trip to the pottery studio and some lovely photos I had take in creche. She said she had to do my tambourine piece in the play. I knew they'd miss me.

Johanna is at home in Germany. She was meant to go on Monday but there was a problem with her plane because it's very snowy in Germany. So she had to come back to us again but then Mammy brought her again the next morning (well actually in the middle of the night begore we were even awake) and that time the plane worked.

We're excited
Yesterday evening we stayed up quite late because we went to a concert in the concert hall. First we went for a drive around time to see all the Christmas lights, including the big tree near where Daddy works. The concert was The Snowman. We loved it. There was loads of other music first and we sang carols and I clapped along to every single thing. And we saw the film of the Snowman then a little boy sang and Ella said he had a lovely voice. And at the end we had loads more music, including our new favourite Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious and some extra carols.

It was so late when we got to bed that we're meant to be ready to sleep early this evening. I dunno though - Ella's being pretty giddy!

A happy clown

A new clown

Today I went to two parties. First of all we went to the party in Mammy's office where I got my face painted and Ríodhna had a balloon made and we saw a magic show and best of all we met Santa Claus who knew all about Johanna minding us and me starting school and said that on Christmas Eve we have to leave out a glass of milk and a carrot for Rudolph and then we showed him how we're going to close our eyes tight and go to sleep and he gave us a present each for being so good so far. I got a Cinderella costume and Ríodhna got a fairy costume and wings and a wand.

Then we had to go to my next party - Estella and Ruthie were having a birthday party together in Imaginosity that I had to go to. We nearly slipped on ice on our way in. We had a fab time playing with all the stuff and then we had the party and we all made Christmas decorations.

Waiting for a balloon
Mammy and Daddy and Ríodhna had to go home. Ríodhna's not very well at the moment. On Friday night Mammy and Daddy were meant to go out but she wasn't well so they had to take her to the doctor while Johanna put me to bed. Then Mammy came back to get her pyjamas and a few other things because the doctor said they had to bring her to the hospital because she might have pneumonia. I helped Mammy remember to bring her dressing gown. When I woke up the next morning she was back - I was very happy that she didn't have to stay in hospital. She had an xray and lots of nurses and doctors looked at her and they gave her lots of medicine that she had to breathe in - and it wasn't very nice but she was very good - specially when she was offered some choccie biccies as a treat for being good. She has a bad cough and we won't be going out too much over Christmas to make sure she's ok.
